Manchester Recruitment Agency Sells 70% of Business to Dutch Firm

Manchester’s specialist employment agency, Pareto Law, has announced that it has sold a 70% majority stake of its business to Dutch company Vedior. It is not known how much Vedior paid for Pareto Law, which was recently voted Best Sales Recruitment Agency at the National Sales Awards.

Jonathan Fitchew and Andy Sawer established Pareto Law, which is based in Wilmslow, in 1995. The successful employment agency achieved a strong turnover of £8.5m in the last financial year and they recently started work on the construction of a £5 million training facility.

The company boasts 80 staff in Cheshire and 50 more in locations throughout the UK, including London, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow and Crawley. Every year, the company is responsible for the recruitment and training of over 1600 graduates on behalf of some top blue-chip companies such as Barclays, Whyte & Mackay and Johnson & Johnson. The company also provides some cutting-edge training courses for both new and experienced sales professionals.

Despite the Dutch company now holding a majority stake, Pareto Law’s agreement with Vedior will see Jonathan Fitchew and Andrew Sawer retain a minority 30% stake of their business, as well as stay on to continue managing the business operations.

Amsterdam-based Vedior is one of the largest recruitment companies in the world with offices throughout Europe, North America, Asia, Australasia, South America and Africa. The company is seen as the market leader in the information technology, healthcare, accounting, engineering and education sectors.

Jonathan Fitchew believes that Pareto Law’s deal with the globally renowned Vedior will help their employment agency to grow on an international basis. He said: “Vedior is a global player and its investment will enable Pareto Law to grow globally in the future.”
